How to choose your size
Determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full-bust front piecesβsubtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3β³ (7.5 cm) or less, use regular bust; if it is more than 3" (7.5 cm), use full bust.
Compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the βBody Measurementsβ table. Using the corresponding row for your bust (regular bust or full bust), choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the βBody Measurementsβ table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the βBody Measurementsβ table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
Itβs OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.

i was very disappointed with this top. It did not fit well. I will have to make major adjustment’s if I decide to make this again
Kadri –
I was just wondering about my Amador top – I saw that my first one is starting to get out of shape and wondered that I’m wearing it so often. I like the V-neck, I love the gathers and the easy to wear dolman sleeves.
Sue –
Loved this top

Easy to sew, great to wear. π

Perfect summer top!

Good pattern clearly states 5 foot 6 and I’m 5 foot 8 so I added one inch above bust in recommended area and worked really well.

I find the instructions for this pattern to be very complicated. There is also one pattern piece that isn’t shown in laying out the pattern onto the fabric.
Kennis Wong –
Could you tell me which piece is not on the layout diagrams? There are 5 pattern pieces in total for this pattern and all five are on the two diagrams (they are numbered and I see numbers 1 to 5 are on the diagrams.) Thank you.

Great fit easy instructions. Love the pattern
Marion –
Way to much ease in the bust area . Looked like a sack on me. Maybe I should have graded it further.
Heather –
Such a great pattern! I made a size 14 graded to 16 for hips (per my measurements), but next time will probably make a straight 14. This is a classy top that dresses up or down to suit any outfit. Thorough instructions and was easy to make with just enough challenge for my novice skills. I sewed it up in one evening. Iβve not yet had a fail when sewing up an ITS pattern! Thank you Kennis!

I like the pattern. Found the instructions clear and easy to follow. Unfortunately the first garment I made was a little big but the next size down was good. Will be making more Amador tops
Jo-Anne –
This top is so sweet! Not complicated and works up quickly. Love, love it!
Charlotte –
Lovely pattern. Very manageable for a not particularly skilled sewist: will be making more. Really like the possibilities for playing around with striped and geometric patterned fabrics.
Patricia –
Love your patterns. The fit is always spot on.
Elly –
Very good

I absolutely love this top. I have made 2 already. The first one out of a lightweight liberty knit and the second one I used a slighty thicker rib knit. On this one I added the long cuffs from the Sibiu Top.
