Love the dress, made it already.

  2. Margaret

    Lovely pattern. Instructions very clear.

  3. Nadia

I just finished this top and LOVE it! I extended the peplum about 1.5 inches and replaced the sleeves with petal sleeves (from your blog post titled “Hacking Zamora Blouse – Create Your Own Petal Sleeves”) and did not add interface to the facings (except for the tip of the V neckline). Instead I doubled the fabric for the facings which kept it pliable. This was my first time lining a top with gathers – I LOVED the lining pattern pieces! It feels amazing to wear so thanks for another awesome pattern πŸ™‚

I’m enjoying the Fisterra top pattern a lot. I made it in a chambray and used an old sheet as lining. The top feels and looks great! This is a working toile, so I plan to make some more in good fabrics.
I’m a beginner and even though the pattern indicates intermediate +, you can do it if you take time and care. Lifting Pins and Needles youtube tutorial helps a lot too.

  6. Kadri

Such a pretty and feminine dress!

  7. Celeste

Easy to follow directions. Can be dressed up or down. Looks good on all body types and sizes

  8. Wendy

    Really cute!

  9. Virginia

I LOVE Kennis’s patterns! I usually have to lengthen 1″ in the bodice (I’m 5′ 7″) but theres so many styles to choose from that you don’t see with the big 4. Great instructions and easy to follow! LOVE!!

How to choose your size

  1. Determine your cup sizeβ€”subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1β€³ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2β€³ (5 cm), use B cup; 3β€³ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4β€³ (10 cm), use D cup; 5β€³ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
  2. After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
